What a start to the new year for Oxfordshire Goalball.

The Oxford Owls attended their 2nd Intermediate tournament of the season in Reading.

We faced London Elephants, Cambridge Dons and Winchester Kings with high spirits and great team work. We had a new player at intermediate level and gained great experience. Go Owls!

Our next training sessions are February 28th and 14th and 28th March.

The Regional Tournament -Oxford

Held at our training venue: Kidlington and Gosford Leisure centre

For the 2nd regional tournament of the season, we were proud to bring two amazing teams.

The Giants and the Eagles. For 3 team members this was their first tournament. Big Congratulations.

Aure coached both teams and what an incredible job she did.

The Giants had a tight last game, losing narrowly and the Eagles also had a tight last game, winning narrowly.

We are so proud of the two amazing teams we were able to field, the  friends and family who showed up to support us, the three club members who contributed as Activators and officials, and the volunteers from Oxford who joined us, including 4 French students at EM Normandie Business School.

One of the volunteers was Dr Tom Crawford from Tom Rocks Maths. His YouTube video on the maths of Goalball features many of our players and is in the link below:

Next Tournaments:

Intermediate: Oxford Saturday 21st March

Regional: Bristol Saturday 18th April
