Our last training session of the season took place on 4th July followed by our AGM.
Thank you to everyone that joined us in person and all who shared their support but couldn’t join us. We enjoyed a relaxed meal at a local pub with some board games and a very cold drink or two!
Our minutes and reports will be available in the next couple of weeks but here is a little sneak peek before then.
Our outgoing Chair Eleanor helped direct a positive and well attended meeting and we would like to thank her for all her support this season. But fear not, we managed to keep Eleanor on the committee for next season under a new role.
A big Oxford Goalball Welcome to Noah who joins us as Chair and has already started to make an impact with ideas. Watch this space for more developments.
The Committee welcomed Dave B as treasurer in place of our wonderful co-founder Aure. As a club (and personally) Aure will be missed greatly and we hope we can do her proud as we continue the great position she left the club in.
Dave B is taking the lead on our new clubwear so we will be in touch shortly with more details. Dave is also a great support in running sessions, coaching and training plans. Thank you Dave.
Miranda is our Deputy Welfare Officer and now appointed as our Outreach Officer. This season she has provided the club with incredible support at numerous events and will represent us at the Goalball Connect event in September. We can’t wait to see what energy she brings to next season.
Craig continues as our Secretary and we would like to thank him for his support and advice. He is an incredible member of our Committee and we are thrilled we get to work with him for another season.
Hayley continues as Welfare and Safeguarding Officer from last year and has the added role of Fundraising Officer. Watch out, she could be approaching a business near you for sponsorship!
We have secured funding for a leadership course with Goalball UK which will take place at Kidlington and Gosford Leisure Centre on 15th August from 9-5. Please let us know if you would be interested in attending and we will take care of the rest.
